LIFE IN FEBRUARY IS GOOD.

this weekend i went with a {new} friend to lunch and a movie. we met through my job last year and have stayed in touch since. we went to silver linings playbook and man, was it good. really, really good. every actor in the movie brought their A game. i'm in love with the story. i'm so happy that erin and i were able to get together and chat face to face since last august.

this weekend was long and peaceful. simple with lots of laughter. the weather was around 60 on saturday. we broke out the mitts and played catch in the backyard...in february, no less. i don't know why the weather blows me everytime here. it's so warm in the winter.
nacho and lola played ball with us, wrestled in the dead grass and as you can see are covered in the pictures below. nacho actually runs back and forth to each of us while we throw the ball. we then use his tennis ball and let him take it back and forth to our mitts. he even dives his head into the mitt to get the ball. it's the best.

this picture cracks me up. this is one of lee's "t-ball picture" poses we decided on. i took a few, but this is the best one. remember the days of posing with your mitt for team pictures? hahahaha.

we then went to costco and bought our first box of diapers and a few other things:

mocha latte is a must at costco

costco makes us happy!

we have been loving this month. here are some food pictures from around the kitchen:
 sea salt caramel for when you're missing coffee at home...
honey has become a daily staple in our house.
on valentine's day we ate cheesy gnocchi casserole by candlelight. lee has a new beer he's been enjoying and i'm just drinkin my ice water {which actually has been hitting the spot}.

lee's lunches this week thanks to costco! those pretzel buns are effing amazing.

sliders are hitting the spot. last night we made them with jarlsberg and brie cheese, onions, and lettuce. with mustard. and we will be eating them again tonight. :)
~~~~~~~~~~
we bought some picture frames for the baby's room and the softest blankets.
{who knew holly robinson peete had a home line}
